After the Budget, we were all a little disappointed that the skilled migration program kept only 79,600 places, while it was expected for it to return to the nearly 100,000 spots as in previous years. But there was still one thing to be confirmed: how these nearly 80,000 places would be spread in all skilled visas categories… and that did finally come as good news.<\/p>\n
The number of spots for popular programs such as skilled independent visas, employer-sponsored and regional visas increased. The business & innovation program or the global talent, that had respectively doubled and tripled in size on the last budget, this time have suffered cuts. <\/p>\n
Final numbers will be available soon, but so far we know there are 1,000 extra places for subclass 189, another 1,500 visas to the employer-sponsored category and the regional program had had a 17% increase on its spots.<\/p>\n

O programa revisado incluir\u00e1 Cape York e \u00e1reas n\u00e3o ind\u00edgenas de Torres Strait, e contar\u00e1 com concess\u00f5es de idade de at\u00e9 55 anos para algumas ocupa\u00e7\u00f5es, entre outras concess\u00f5es. <\/p>\n
Um total de 164 ocupa\u00e7\u00f5es estar\u00e3o dispon\u00edveis no novo programa (lista em breve), mas n\u00e3o se esque\u00e7a: o DAMA \u00e9 um programa patrocinado pelo empregador, portanto, certifique-se de encontrar uma empresa disposta a patrocin\u00e1-lo quando chegar l\u00e1. Considerando o quanto essas pequenas empresas est\u00e3o lutando para atrair funcion\u00e1rios, tenho certeza de que muitos de voc\u00eas n\u00e3o ter\u00e3o problemas em provar que valem a pena.<\/p>\n

Every year, the Economist Intelligence Unit\u2019s Global Liveability Index chooses the best cities in the world to live in, and this year Australia has reached a milestone: no less than 4 Australian cities have featured in the top 10! Our beloved Adelaide and Perth are respectively the 3rd and 6th best cities in the world. Meanwhile, Melburnians might not have liked the news: the city has plummeted to the 8th spot, after 7 years featuring as the best city in the world and a 2nd place last year.<\/p>\n
Brisbane has reached the top 10 for the first time (10th place), and Sydney did not make the top 10 this year =(. Still, the city comes in 11th, so we can also say that Australia has 5 of the 11 best cities in the world to live in \u2013 an impressive 45% dominance of the ranking. We all agree, don’t we?<\/p>\n
