Yes \u2014 the English test rules for the 482 visa changed on 13 September 2025.
If you’re applying for the Skills in Demand (subclass 482) visa, your test must now follow the updated list of providers, score thresholds and re-sit options.<\/p>\n

When Did the New Rules Start?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The new English test requirements apply to 482 visa applications lodged on or after 13 September 2025, based on the LIN 25\/082 legislative instrument.<\/p>\n

            For tests taken on or after 13 September 2025, you can:<\/p>\n

            • Use IELTS OSR or MET SSR (Single Section Retake)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
